Faculty of Cognitive Behavioural and Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy
INTRODUCTION
The Centre for Stress Management and its affiliated organisation, the UK Centre for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy have been running a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavioural therapy (REBT) training programmes for 3 decades. These courses have been at introductory Primary Certificate (CBT, REBT), Foundation Certificate, Certificate (CBT, REBT), Advanced Certificate and Diploma levels. The extended programmes are modular permitting a flexible attendance schedule for course delegates and and enrolled students.
WHY TRAIN WITH THE CENTRE & FACULTY?
We have been running CBT and REBT courses at the Centre for three decades. Our courses are taught by experienced CBT and REBT Trainers and Therapists who are on the CBT Register UK. Our courses are approved and recognised externally.
COURSE RECOGNITION & APPROVAL
The Centre's courses are approved by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The Centre and its Faculties are International Society for Coaching Psychology Approved Centres.
STAFF
Director of the Faculty of Cognitive Behavioural and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy is Professor Stephen Palmer PhD CPsychol, co-author of Brief Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (Sage) and Stress Counselling: A Rational Emotive Behaviour Approach (Sage). Trainers on the programme include Nick Edgerton and Kasia Szymanska. The trainers are all accredited in CBT and/or REBT. Courses are run at the BPS offices in London, England and Edinburgh, Scotland. Courses are also run in-house for organisations and psychology departments.
